Meeting in Privas, October 16-20, 2012

The Lycée Vincent d’Indy hosted the Comenius meeting from the 16th to the 20th October 2012.

We were very glad to start in Privas this second year of the project and to welcome in our school our colleagues and their students.

The French students involved in the project welcomed our partners with a ceremony at the school. They created and then played a short sketch and some of them performed two French songs. They also prepared an exhibition about the project which was displayed in the town hall.

All our students were very excited to welcome their European friends and a lot of French families volunteered to host a foreign student.

During those 3 days, students and teachers from each country spent a lot of time together : activities and lessons at school, visit of the town and visit of Lyon, folk dances, farewell dinner...

This meeting has made our friendship bonds even stronger. Now, we are looking forward to continuing this project by following the calendar fixed during those days. The next meeting will be in Athens in January with the presentation of the maps for the Modern era. See you soon!

The Comenius programme focuses on the first phase of education, from pre-school and primary to secondary schools. It is relevant for all members of the education community: pupils, teachers, local authorities, parents’ associations, non-government organisations, teacher training institutes, universities and all other educational staff.
